I’m one of those people who can definitely taste collegon peptides and creatine despite people saying if you dissolve it in water there’s no taste… And it never even dissolves fully so you’re always stuck drinking chalky gloopy mush!
For a while I was creating a creatine & collegon syrup and mixing with orange juice. I could force myself to drink that, but mixing it as a smoothie is actually delicious and helps me get my daily protein as well!
Drinking this for breakfast greatly helps my satiation, preventing me from getting hungry before my next meal (even as a breastfeeding mom!).
I use a strawberry banana frozen fruit bag, but you can use any frozen fruit for to create different flavors!
I will also be assuming you are using a nutrabullet or magic bullet and have a “max” fill line and a way to indicate 1 serving size in this recipe.
Ingredients
- 1 hand-full of frozen fruit
- 2 spoons scoops of Greek yogurt
- I use vanilla protein yogurt because that’s what we have stocked in the house
- 1 scope of vanilla protein powder (the serving size of the package I have)
- 1 scope of creatine (the serving size of the package I have)
- 4 tbsp of collagen (the serving size of the package I have)
- 1 big scoop of ice
- milk
- I use soy milk or kirkland’s filtered protein milk for less calories
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients in nutrabullet
- Blend!
Troubleshooting Your Smoothies
- If too thick, pour half into cup and add more milk. Drink and then mix the other half with more milk later.
- If too thin, pour half into cup and add more ice. Drink and then mix the other half with more ice later.
- If you want more frothy, then mix longer.
- If you want less frothy, mix shorter.
- If you want more of a yogurt taste, add more yogurt.
